This is an opportunity for you to be a brand ambassador for events, within a growing media / publication outlet. You'll be responsible for in-house copywriting and PR activities - creating and spreading the word to help make their events as successful as possible.

If you have a strong attention to detail, exceptional writing skills, and experience of PR relating to events, this role could be a great match.


The Job...

Reporting to the Marketing Director, and leading projects with the Head of Events Marketing, you'll be key in writing press releases and identifying PR opportunities for a range of events. You'll be working with various teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and editorial. 

You'll be responsible for:

- Developing and implementing effective copywriting and PR strategies for events across a number of brands.
- Being brand champion for all events, ensuring consistent messaging and brand identity across all communications.
- Creating compelling and engaging content for various platforms, including websites, social media, press releases, promotional materials, and event collateral.
- Writing copy with granular detail, maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
- Collaborating with all departments including sales, marketing, operations, and editorial teams, to ensure alignment and integration of messaging and PR initiatives.
- Conducting interviews and gathering information from relevant sources for content development.
- Supporting the development and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Ensuring press releases are distributed across relevant news wires and sector media.
- Monitoring media coverage and industry trends to identify PR opportunities and provide recommendations.
- Collaborating with the design team to create visually appealing and impactful marketing materials to go alongside press releases.
- Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and new technologies to enhance copywriting and PR strategies. 


About You...

Using your significant experience in copywriting and PR, you'll be delivering high quality content to help raise awareness of a selection of events.

Here's some of the key experience you'll need to demonstrate:

- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive copy.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with granular information.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- The ability to attend the office 2 days per week and be available for events (preparation and during).
- The ability to occasionally travel off-site for interviews and other activities.

The office is based in Preston, however the business operates hybrid working, generally with 2 days of work a week conducted from the office and 3 days from home.
