The Background

We are partnered with an innovative IT solutions provider based in Spain but working with clients on a global scale. They have created a new position for a SOC Team Lead to lead a team that has recently grown to 6 SOC Analysts.

In this role you will be the point of escalation and guidance for the Security Operations team and assist Analysts at all levels with alerts, incidents and user contacts. As well as operating and monitoring tools relating to IDS, SIEM and EDR you will support the development and growth of the SOC Analysts through structured feedback and both formal and informal training and development activities. This diverse role will require you to provide security operations responses to Incident and Problem investigations as well as maintaining records and creating reports in relation to cyber-security threats, attacks and other potential issues

This an exciting opportunity to join a team where you can come in and combine your technical knowledge and stakeholder engagement skills and gain further experience in managing a team. Please note this role will require an on call rota (approximately 1 week every 8 weeks).

The successful Senior Service Manager will have…

• Previous experience in a similar Senior SOC Analyst position, any leadership experience is advantageous
• Demonstratable technical knowledge in SIEM and SOAR Technologies, Web Application Firewalls and EDR / XDR
• Understanding of IDS, SIEM, anti-malware and cyber-security technologies as well as network traffic analysis techniques and networking principles
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Spanish and the ability to translate technical information for non technical stakeholders
