Human Resources Assistant

London - Hybrid 3 days in office (2 days WFH)

 

The Background

We are partnered with an innovative consultancy based in London but with a global presence who are leading advisors in their industry by creating lasting value for their clients. Due to growth within the business they are looking for a Human Resource Assistant.

The client offers a package that includes private medical insurance, pension contribution and a flexible benefits fund.

 

Summary

We are in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team. As an HR Assistant you will be responsible for providing essential support to the HR Manager in various administrative tasks/projects related to recruitment, onboarding, payroll and HR operations.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • You’ll be the first point of contact for HR related queries for both Line Managers and Employees.
  • Coordinating all HR administration across the full employee lifecycle events.
  • Providing accurate and timely reporting when required, and ensure compliance with Company process, data protection requirements and best practices with regard to the maintenance of people systems and records.
  • Maintaining accurate HR Files.
  • Assist with recruitment processes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Assisting with payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Actively looks for opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and delivery to ensure we are ahead of the curve.
  • Arrange training requests via the broker.
  • Provide assistance on all HR projects and initiatives.
  • Assist the HR Manager with annual Audits
  • Provide support to the Office Assistant with 4 eye checks and provide cover whilst the Office Assistant is on annual leave.
  • Support with the Recognition Initiatives.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an HR Administrator/Assistant in a similar-sized organisation
  • Good IT skills, with experience of HR Systems, especially Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Familiarity with current employment policies and legislation – GDPR/Right to work checks etc.
  • Ability to work with high self-direction and flexibility, especially with respect to taking initiative, prioritising multiple tasks, and using good judgment to resolve problems, with strong attention to quality and detail.
  • ‘Can do’ attitude and Growth mindset, with a methodical approach to work and strong prioritisation skills
  • A Team player
  • Integrity – the role requires appropriate handling of confidential and sensitive information
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft-based applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of professionals both internally and externally
  • CIPD level 3 or above is desirable but not essential
  • Should be flexible and turn their hand to provide cover in the office for the Office Assistant during sickness and annual leave.
  • Candidate should be comfortable with Hybrid working (3 days) in the office and in commutable distance to our offices in Soho.
